Thanks again for your interest in Bricks to Bread and for supporting our mission to help change the lives of women and children within the impoverished nations of Latin America!
We have lots of ways for you to get involved!
BREAD BAKES: Volunteer during one of our semi-weekly baking days. There are three phases to our bread baking process; preparing the dough, forming the loaves, and baking.
Three Shifts:
- Preparing the dough the night before
- Forming the loaves in the morning
- Baking the bread mid-day
Shift Time: Each shift takes 2-3 hours depending on the amount of bread we bake and the temperature of the oven.
- Preparing dough: 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. the night before
- Forming the loaves: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
- Baking bread: 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
VOLUNTEER TRIP EXPERIENCES: Travel to Latin America (primarily Costa Rica) with us for 10 days and volunteer on one of our oven projects!
JOIN US FOR OKTOBERFIESTA: This is our annual fundraiser held in the fall. All-you-can-eat pretzels (homemade and hot from the brick oven), grilled brats, auction items, games, craft beer and other spirits, and loads of fun and fellowship. All celebrating our Latin American oven projects and women entrepreneurs!
If you are interested in learning more about any of these activities, please email us. We would be more than happy to send you additional information.
